This year Safer Internet Day is Tuesday 6th February and as normal we want everyone from across the New Bridge Group to get involved. The focus is to ‘build a better internet’. There are lots of resources which can be used in class groups, year groups or whole school assemblies. Please click on the links below for your age group.
Safer Internet Day is a nationwide event and schools from all over the country take part in different ways. As usual, we are running a competition for the best poster from each site which will be uploaded to the school website, printed on a canvas to display in school and will earn a special prize for the young person or group.
Here is how to take part in the competition:
- Use the jigsaw template here and get pupils individually or as a team to fill in pledges to do something positive online.
- Cut out the jigsaw pieces and stick them on a sheet of card.
- Take a photo of the poster and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org
We’ll announce the winners on Wednesday evening and share them on Twitter, Facebook and the school’s website. Please take photos of any other activities you take part in from the wide range of resources below.
Get your friends, family, and colleagues involved too with #ItStartsWithUs
Everyone taking part can be awarded a certificate – please click here to download the template to print.
