Miss Warner’s class are having a fantastic time finding out about what life was like during World War II as part of their History topic this term.
So far they have been dressing up..
..making very authentic looking identity cards and evacuee tags (using coffee and tea to stain the card!) and posters to go on their fabulous display..

Of course, the staff took a lot of persuasion (as usual!!) to join in..
They found some 1940s recipes and discovered the joys of ration book cooking with impressively tasty results – their ‘National Roly Poly’, ‘Bread Pudding’ and Woolton Pie’ didn’t last long..

War time music has been a big hit and they are now working on performing the Lindy Hop with Miss Pilgrim!
They have lots more fun activities planned over the next few weeks, we promise we’ll let you know what they get up to 🙂
