Our amazing young people did New Bridge VERY proud on Tuesday in the 2016 Greater Manchester School Games Rowing Competition at the Robin Park Arena in Wigan.
They had a fantastic time competing against other schools from across Greater Manchester and represented our school superbly – Mr Smith says that they all deserved a gold medal for their outstanding behaviour and sportsmanship!!

Once again, it was the first PE event that some of our pupils had attended but you wouldn’t have guessed. Everyone gave it 110% and their effort and teamwork were exceptional 🙂
In the KS4 boys individual rowing event Charlie was outstanding as he won a Gold medal and came 1st. Aaron came 3rd and won a Bronze medal..
In the KS3 boys individual rowing event Patrick won a Silver medal after finishing in 2nd position..
In the team rowing event both KS3 boys and KS4 boys all won Silver medals for finishing 2nd..
Well done to everyone who took part, we’re very proud of you!! Bring on our next challenge…….. 🙂
