As promised, here are some pictures from Oldham College Performing Arts Department’s visit to New Bridge when they performed a preview of their annual ‘Dance Showcase’ which will be held in May at the Grange Theatre..

Our young people were treated to a fantastic performance by their Level 3 Extended Diploma students which incorporated a range of styles from ballet to jazz and included technical demonstrations and student choreography.
Oldham College’s ‘Twenty10 Dance Company’ who will be performing in a national competition at The Lowry this week (good luck!!) particularly inspired us with their sensitive piece ‘For Amanda’, exploring a sense of emotional expression around the potentially devastating effects of cyberbullying.
After the showcase, our Lumenus students took part in a workshop with the Oldham College students and were able to share ideas and pick up some new techniques..
