To celebrate World Book Day 2017 we decided to hold our very own ‘New Bridge Book Day’ on Monday. We had a lot of fun dressing up as characters from our favourite books as you can see..
The Cat in the Hat was certainly a very popular character..
We also enjoyed sharing our favourite books with our friends and, of course, reading!!
Mrs Fennelly’s class enjoyed reading the story of ‘What the Ladybird Heard’ and did some lovely work..
Mrs Parkinson’s group were very brave and read ‘Carla’s Story’ before creating their own very ‘special’ sandwiches! We think you might spot something of a theme with the ingredients they chose (sprouts appear to be universally detested!)..
We’re very pleased to say that although Mrs Coleman-Celis came as Miss Trunchbull, thankfully the costume was where the resemblance to Roald Dahl’s terrifying teacher ended..
