It’s been another action packed week at New Bridge with lots of stuff going on and stories to tell.
Last week saw some quite tasty mornings for the students as it was National Breakfast Week; the staff provided a selection of food throughout the week such as porridge, cornflakes and toast! Thanks to staff who provided this for all the students.
In Activ8 we’ve been concentrating on our GCSE PE and have been doing more recordings this week in rugby and boxing. It was also great to see some of the Springbrook pupils take part in the rugby league, they gave some of our boys a run for their money!
From Year 11 Patrick is raising money for MECP2 Duplication UK, he’ll doing this at New Bridge by swimming one mile which accurately in our pool is 128 lengths! Best of luck and well done.
In Friday’s assembly we watched a video about a man who once attended New Bridge. He didn’t make the best of starts but as the years progressed he turned things around and changed his style and became one of the best. Reece, you inspire a new generation to do big things in life and dream big, well done on your amazing accomplishment!
Next Friday we will be having a visitor in assembly to discuss how to be more safe on the internet and social media. Myself and many others think highly of tackling cyber-bullying and many more ways to make sure we as students are more aware and safe!
That’s it for another week, as my weekend consisted of singing “WE’RE THE FAMOUS MAN CITY AND WE’RE GOING TO WEMBLEY!”
Hope you all enjoy your week!
Jack
