Wednesday saw the exciting Wooden Spoon U16s Tag Rugby tournament which was held in Blackburn. Schools from all over Greater Manchester were taking part in the competition and the New Bridge Group had 3 teams competing in this event..

2 New Bridge teams including players from Spring Brook together with a team from Hollinwood Academy were all hoping for success in what proved to be a very eventful day of rugby..

All of our young people played some outstanding rugby against some very difficult opposition and some big lads! At times our players had to keep their cool in several tricky situations and some heated rugby but they all did their team proud and behaved in an outstanding sporting manner..

After some very difficult games New Bridge came out winners with standout performances from Lewis from New Bridge and Leon and Matthew from Spring Brook..

Well done to everyone involved, once again our young people have made us proud and brought home the winners cup!!
