Mr Handrick explains how an unexpected turn of events worked out very well for the Digit4ll students..
On Wednesday of this week, a film promotional that we were hoping to work on had to be rearranged. The team were all geared up for the filming project but things don’t always go to plan. So, at the start of the day we looked out of the window at our Medtia site and the team could see the amazing colours that the Autumn season provides. Not to let the wonderful crisp morning go to waste, we set off to Alexandra Park to have some fun with the cameras. As we walked around (getting attacked by the birds!), the sunlight beamed through the trees and bounced off the lake..
As the team remained patient, waiting to capture the best shots they could, a few little friends came very close trying to peck at our feet and equipment!
As some of the team were filming, others were taking images on their phones and cameras..
..we had that much good stuff that we couldn’t wait to get back and get to work!!
Once back at Medtia we gathered all the footage and the team got to work. We had groups importing footage, editing films and editing images. It has been a great few days with the team getting a moment to jump on the computers and carry on editing films and images. Here you can see some of the work done by Luke..
Mitchell..
..and Reece..
I’m sure you will agree that the images and the film made by Matthew and Hasnain are excellent. So, Digit4ll Key Stage 5 invite you to look through the images, make yourself a cuppa, sit back and take a few minutes out of your day and watch the short film ‘Autumn’..
We know the students were disappointed that their original plans for the day were changed and their filming project had to be postponed…..but we’re rather pleased it gave them the opportunity to do this wonderful piece of work instead!
