Firstly I would like to welcome all our staff and young people back after the Easter holidays, I trust that you all had a good break. It is lovely to get back to it this week and to see many of our students starting new placements for the final term of the academic year.
Two of our Future Finders, Zoheb and Daniel, have started their new placements at David Lloyd Gym, Middleton. Zoheb has been working in the maintenance department and has been helping painting the fences – he has done a great job!
Daniel has started working in the gym this week and has been helping Mark, the Fitness Manager, to prepare the induction papers for new members. Daniel has been keeping the weights in order ready for the next member to use throughout the day, and keeping the gym area nice and clean – good work!
David has started his new placement at the ‘big Tesco’s’! Following on from his placement at Tesco Greenfield last year, he has now been invited to spend his last term working at the big Tesco store near the hospital. David has settled in brilliantly and is keen to get a paid job there soon – good luck, David!
Work experience also began this week for students across the Group. It was lovely to see Ellis, Jason and Josh at The Atrium this week. They worked really hard and Charlotte was very impressed with them! Well done, guys..
We will be back next week with our usual ‘Worker of the Week’ and ‘A Day in the Life of’ features – this week I was keen to let everyone settle back in to working life.
The Future Finders holiday to Salou is coming up in just 4 weeks! We have sent a letter home inviting families to a parents’ information evening about the residential on Monday 30th April. Please use this as an opportunity to bring in your child’s passport and any prescribed medication they will need to take with them on the trip.
Have a wonderful week,
Daniel
