Kathleen Stone
I have had a very varied working career, developing a range of managerial skills along the way. I spent 20 years managing an engineering office, predominately overseeing accounts and payroll but also dealing with customer service and any HR issues which would arise. I hold secretarial and accounting qualifications.
I worked for Oldham Lifelong Learning for over 30 years, first as a tutor and latterly as Curriculum Manager for Arts, Craft, Food and Fashion. My role was to develop and manage courses for learners with diverse levels of ability. I hold City and Guilds qualifications and a Certificate in Education, I also worked as an assessor for a National Awarding Body in Fashion and Textiles.
I am a very passionate believer in education and continuing Lifelong Learning and that every child should be give the best opportunity possible to develop his or her personal skill set.
